Michael Esswood began his professional acting career with Shared Experience, and several other theatre companies at the Riverside Studios in London (including The Royal Lyceum and The National Theatre). About this time, he started his screen career by acting in filmmaking training courses for directors, led by Charles Sturridge and Stephen Frears (National Film and Television School), before appearing in ITV's The Bill. Several well-paid commercials and frequent ground-breaking NHS Clinical Communication role-play work followed, and continues to pay the bills!
Having made his leading feature film debut a few years ago in 'The Northern Paradigm' (which as now been nominated at the Nice International Film Festival for Best Feature Film and Best Lead Actor), Hollywood finally called and he is now (with US accent) on the ‘Blade Runner 2049’ DVD in the 2048 film! (or online as 'Nowhere To Run')
Michael currently appears in a film and infomercial called 'Forced Labour', as a modern-slavery boss, on the 'Can You See Me?' UK website and on large TV screens at Heathrow airport.
